This gorgeous, vivid edition features Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poetic translation of the landmark Italian poem, alongside a visionary suite of illustrations depicting Hell's vast architecture, an exclusive introduction from the renowned Ukrainian poet Ilya Kaminsky, and an original essay from the celebrated Dante scholar Kristina Olson.

This title comes in a standard slipcase edition, a cloth-wrapped signed and numbered version limited to an edition of three hundred copies, and special lettered version limited to an edition of twenty-six copies, presented in a unique solander case. STANDARD EDITION

The standard edition is an oversized 9" x 12" hardcover, cloth-bound in sewn signatures and housed in an elaborately embossed and debossed die-cut slipcase, silk-screened and foil-stamped with artwork.

The interior is printed on creamy, acid-free heavy-weight 140gsm uncoated paper with a fine tooth and includes dozens of full color illustrations, illuminated letters, and special design pieces.

NUMBERED EDITION

The numbered edition is a cloth-wrapped slipcase volume, featuring a foil-blocked fine art print that is exclusive to the INFERNO special editions, as well as a 1.25" die-struck enamel pin. It is signed and numbered by illustrator Sophy Hollington in an edition of 250.

It also features foiled fore-edge printing on the page ends, a bound-in silk ribbon, and a natural-fiber cotton cloth slipcase. Collectors will also be granted DRM-free digital editions of EVERY title in the Illuminated Editions line in perpetuity.

LETTERED EDITION

This most exclusive edition is housed in a cloth clamshell case with two laser-cut metal plates mounted onto its French door-style enclosure. Each comes with a linocut print handmade and hand-numbered by Sophy Hollington in a series of 15, plus all the elements of the numbered edition. This edition is limited to a series of 26 copies, each lettered in a series of A-Z.
