"Night Game" Blanket

Jacquard-woven blanket designed by cartoonist Jim Woodring in a limited edition of 500 blankets. Made from premium quality natural and recycled cotton with more filling than a standard weave. Machine washable and made in the USA. 70" x 50".

JIM WOODRING was born in Los Angeles in 1952. He taught himself to draw in order to document his clamorous inner life. He began his public career in 1980 with a self-published pamphlet, the illustrated autojournal JIM, which was subsequently published by Fantagraphics Books. In 1990 he drew the first of the acclaimed wordless metaphysical Frank stories. He has created thousands of standalone drawings and paintings, including a suite of enormous ink drawings made with Nibbus Maximus, a functioning six-foot dip pen he designed and built. His large, painstakingly-rendered charcoal drawings of bizarre tableaus are in collections all over the world. He also makes machines that address his perceptual difficulties, such as the sinister Looty and the nerve-shredding Foot Grinder. He has an extensive line of gags and novelties including Bloody Frog Soap, The Fortune Telling Stinkbug and the Nidrian Wallet. As of this writing he has just released his 400-page Frank magnum opus One Beautiful Spring Day. He lives in Washington State with his wife.
